Marketing & Media Coordinator

Pivot PDX | Portland, OR | 5–7 hours/week

Pivot is looking for a creative, organized, and self-directed Marketing & Media Coordinator to help keep our community connected to everything happening at the studio.

This is a hands-on role focused on creating and executing content, not developing our overall marketing strategy. You’ll work closely with Pivot directors, Lauren & Ashley, who will set priorities and direction, while you own the day-to-day execution.

 

What You'll Do

• Manage Pivot’s Instagram, including posts, stories, reels, and community content.

• Create and capture photo/video content at the studio.

• Draft and send Pivot’s weekly newsletter.

• Create graphics and marketing materials using Canva or similar tools.

• Make routine website and digital updates.

• Keep our marketing calendar moving and make sure important things get communicated on time.

• Help maintain a consistent, recognizable Pivot voice and visual identity.

We're Looking For Someone Who

• Has strong visual instincts and good taste.

• Is a confident, natural writer and editor.

• Is comfortable with Instagram and social media content creation.

• Knows Canva or similar design tools.

• Can take a rough idea and turn it into polished, finished content.

• Is organized, reliable, and able to work independently.

• Can manage recurring deadlines within a limited number of weekly hours.

• Understands the difference between something feeling polished and something feeling overly corporate or sales-y.

• Has an instinct for what feels authentic, current, and very Pivot.

You don’t need to be a marketing strategist. We’re looking for a doer who can take direction, bring creative ideas to the table, and make things happen. Would be rad if you have design skills and can create flyers, posters, and promo materials for Pivot.

5–7 hours/week · Portland, OR · Flexible schedule, one in-person meeting weekly with Lauren & Ashley

Pay $21-$24/hr plus a studio membership (valued at $130/month)
